Dr. Amin Jaffer
DDS
Dr. Jaffer completed his undergraduate education at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. During these years, he earned the honor of being on the National Dean’s list two years in a row. In 1997, he completed his dental education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and has been in private practice since then. Dentistry is his passion and he enjoys talking with his patients. One of his strengths is that he takes his time explaining and educating his patients so they can maintain and improve their dental health and smile.
Dr. Jaffer lives in Ann Arbor with his wife Muneeza and two children Hina and Omar. He enjoys traveling and dining out.
Dr. Jaffer believes every patient deserves comprehensive dental treatment thus, he maintains a comprehensive and proactive approach. Our office can give you a comprehensive treatment plan that takes care of all your needs. Dr. Jaffer is a knowledgeable, up-to-date and caring dentist who takes his time to listen to you and answer all of your questions. We believe all smiles start with healthy teeth and gums. Timothy Schafer
DDS
Dr. Timothy Schafer is a proud Michigan resident. He attended Eastern Michigan University, where he graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry and a minor in Accounting.
He went on to graduate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2020, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He also received recognition from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Schafer is an active member of several professional organizations, including:
- American Dental Association (2016–Present)
- Michigan Dental Association (2016–Present)
- Washtenaw District Dental Society (2023–Present)
- Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society (2020–Present)
He was also a member of the American Dental Education Association from 2018 to 2019.
Dentistry is a unique field that requires proficiency in multiple areas, including biomedical sciences, material science, artistry, and manual dexterity. Along with these diverse aspects of the profession, Dr. Schafer was drawn to dentistry because of his interest in healthcare.
He loves both art and helping people, and dentistry allows him to combine these two passions. It gives him the opportunity to create beautiful smiles while also helping patients achieve and maintain their oral health.
Additionally, dentistry offers a lifelong career where he can build lasting relationships with patients. Forming these connections and caring for their oral health brings immense joy and fulfillment to his work.
Dr. Yasmina Farah
DDS
Dr. Yasmina Farah received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. She is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment for all of her patients. By providing gentle, compassionate, and patient-centered care, she ensures that every individual feels heard, valued, and supported throughout their oral health journey. As part of her commitment to delivering the highest quality of care, she places a strong emphasis on patient education. Whether it’s by discussing lifestyle habits that impact oral health or providing insight on proper oral hygiene techniques, Dr. Farah strives to empower each individual with the essential tools to improve or maintain their oral health beyond the confines of the dental office.
Leah Dailey
RDH
Leah is our Hygienist. She graduated from Oakland Community College in 2007 and has been with our practice since 2008.
Rahaf Khan
RDH
Rahaf graduated from the University of Michigan with honors and a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene in 2022. She started with our practice in the summer of 2022. As a part of the hygiene team, Rahaf brings a bright and fresh perspective to providing the utmost dental care to all her patients.
Paula Cafego
Dental Assisting
Paula has 32 years of dental assisting experience. She has been with our practice since 2018. Paula has assisted Dr. Jaffer through a series of procedures in including Restorative, Endodontic, Orthodontic, and Surgeries. Paula and Dr. Jaffer have established a work dynamic that is both efficient and thorough.
Tonyaa Henderson
Dental Assistant
Tonyaa Henderson has 13 years of Dental Assisting experience and has been with Arbor Dental since 2021. Her knowledge and cordial personality are a cherished asset to our practice. She has a strength for communicating and advocating for patients. We are very grateful to have her as a part of our team.
Marissa Cole’s
Dental Assistant
Marissa’s Bio: Marissa joined the Arbor Dental team as a dental assistant in January 2025. She has a warm, welcoming personality and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable during their visits. Her calm, caring approach puts patients at ease and makes every appointment a more positive experience. Outside the office, Marissa enjoys running, spending time with her cat and dogs, and shopping. She is excited to continue growing her knowledge in the dental field and looks forward to building strong relationships with our patients.
Kristen Snapir
Patient Care Coordinator
Kristen started with the practice in January 2023 as our Front Desk Coordinator. She has become a great addition to the Arbor Dental family as she continues to take on additional responsibilities of becoming our fantastic financial coordinator. She can now be seen at the front desk or with our patients presenting their financials.
Amanda Barnier
Treatment Coordinator
Amanda is a compassionate professional with a love for nature & animals, especially her beloved bulldog mix, Duke. As an Ann Arbor native, Amanda’s upbringing fostered a strong commitment towards community, driving her passion for helping others. She strives to bring a warm, positive, and stress-free environment for everyone.

We recommend every six months for most people. Custom schedules may apply for specific needs.
Dental implants are stable, prevent bone loss, and provide a long-term solution. They don’t require removal like dentures. We’ll discuss suitability during your consultation.
